Orientation Weekend 2010
Beginning this Saturday, September 4, at 8:00 a.m., the St. John Fisher College campus will be a flurry of activity, as new students descend upon residence halls for Orientation Weekend 2010. Between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., members of the Class of 2014 will be busy moving into their dorm rooms, meeting their roommates, and checking in to begin orientation activities. On July 13, Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks recognized Dr. Donald Bain for his many contributions to Irish history and culture in Monroe County. County Executive Brooks, along with County Legislators Michael Barker ’85 and Anthony Daniele, presented Dr. Bain with an official county proclamation.

By special proclamation, the City of Rochester announced that Tuesday, August 10, was "Literacy Day" in Rochester, New York.
For the third year in a row, St. John Fisher College and the Buffalo Bills celebrated this special event at Buffalo Bills Training Camp. Literacy Day is designed to support, celebrate, and promote the Rochester Literacy Movement launched by Mayor Duffy as a way to engage the community in the effort to make Rochester the most literate mid-sized city in the country.
